Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team at a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff, therapists and other support professionals to provide high quality support for pupils with diverse learning needs. Key responsibilities will include supporting the teacher in planning and delivering lessons to meet the needs of the students and assisting in the preparation of resources and materials required for various lessons. You will be experienced in managing and promoting positive behaviour within a challenging behaviour environment ensuring a safe and productive learning experience for students inside and outside the classroom. Good communication and interpersonal skills are required for this role and being able to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents and carers. With the ability to remain calm and handle challenging behaviour. A minimum of Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent and experience of working with children and young people with special education needs is a requirement for this role.
