Your Role as a Music Teacher:
🔹 Plan and deliver engaging and accessible Music lessons tailored to students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and communication needs.
🔹 Use music as a tool for self-expression, confidence-building, and sensory engagement.
🔹 Adapt the music curriculum to meet the needs and abilities of students at different learning levels.
🔹 Lead group and one-to-one music sessions, incorporating a variety of instruments, technology, and vocal techniques.
🔹 Foster a positive and structured classroom environment that encourages creativity and participation.
🔹 Work closely with SENCOs, support staff, and therapists to create an inclusive approach to learning.
🔹 Organise school performances and music workshops to showcase student talent and build confidence.
Who We’re Looking For:
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
✅ Experience teaching Music in a secondary setting, ideally with students with SEN.
✅ A passionate and adaptable teaching approach with a focus on engagement and creativity.
✅ Strong understanding of differentiation, music therapy techniques, and inclusive teaching strategies.
✅ Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
✅ An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
