Main Purpose of Role
As a Citizens in Policing Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing workstreams that connect policing with young people and communities.
Your main focus will be on the Police Cadet program and volunteers within policing, ensuring these initiatives achieve positive impacts and increase confidence in policing.
Key Skills & Experience Required
* Coordinate the further development and implementation of Citizens in Policing & Engagement workstreams.
* Seek opportunities to connect policing with young people and communities.
* Foster a fun and engaging environment for cadets through interactive training and community projects.
* Implement recognition and rewards systems to celebrate achievements.
* Regularly seek feedback to improve and adapt the program.
* Be able to develop strong working relationships both internally and externally to the organisation, with the ability to break down barriers between groups and involve others in discussions and decisions.
* Knowledge of principles of prevention and early intervention.
* Be an effective communicator who is experienced in dealing with a wide range of people and with effective interpersonal skills to ensure professional relationships are built and maintained and barriers to engagement are overcome.
