We’re looking for Customer Team Members to join our team at Co-op. As a Customer Team Member, you’ll be part of a friendly team that’s dedicated to helping our customers. We’ll look to you to provide them with great service on the tills and the shop floor, while also performing a wide range of other tasks around the store like re-stocking shelves and cleaning up spillages.

You’ll get support for your physical, mental, and financial wellbeing, as well as market-leading policies to help you through life events from bereavement and pregnancy loss to fertility treatment and menopause.
What you'll do
* Provide friendly and thoughtful service – responding to queries, championing Co-op products and Membership, and working in our in-store bakery.
* Support your store colleagues to solve problems for customers and members.
* Ensure the store is safe and legal – keep the shelves stocked and make sure prices, dates, and temperatures are all as they should be.
* Help introduce new products and services – make changes feel natural, sharing experiences with your colleagues.
* Support your local community – get involved in activities and events.
This job would suit people who have
* A genuine care for the needs of customers and members.
* Great people skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
* A positive approach to change and problem-solving.
* The flexibility to work a range of different shifts.
Why Co-op?
* 30% discount on all Co-op products in-store plus 10% discounts on all other brands (increasing to 20% on payday weekends).
* A pension scheme with up to 10% employer contributions.
* Wagestream– a money management app giving you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it.
* 31 days of holiday (including bank holidays, pro rata for part-time colleagues).
* Virtual healthcare services for you and your family, including access to GP appointments, eye care, mental health support, and nutrition consultations.
* 24/7 employee assistance service.
* Full, paid training and dedicated support for your personal development and career progression.
* Rotas shared three weeks in advance and accessible on your phone.
