Job Description Site Manager Are you a highly skilled and versatile Site Manager with a strong background in trade work? We are looking for an experienced professional to join our team Peterborough Branch. You will be overseeing projects of varying values which will primarily be Retail Projects but in time may include commercial projects, MOD, MOJ, schools, care homes and upgrade works for values between £5,000 and £10m. As the Site Manager you will be overseeing the direction of the entire project, this crucial role involves working closely with Project Managers to ensure communication, compliance and high standards are always a priority. Due to the locations and nature of these works, this role requires flexibility as we often work additional hours, stop out overnight during the week and travelling. Job Responsibilities Responsible for the day-to-day running of the project Monitoring Health & Safety practices and CDM Regulations on site Attendance of regular site meetings with client, Architect, Quantity Surveyor, Planning Supervisor etc Preparation of reports, programmes updates, progress and profitability reports Agree pricing and instructions with your manager Contribute to formulating valuations and final accounts Assisting with the preparation of tenders To procure, negotiate terms and monitor the performance of sub-contractors and suppliers Contribute to and attend financial and progress meetings with the client, engineers and subcontractors as required Provide support to the site team in order to optimise the use of contract resources Maintaining deadlines in line with requirements Regular use of our bespoke computer system and other software packages such as Word, Excel and Project. Person Specification To be successful in the role of Site Manager you will need: A construction related qualification and/or has a relevant trade qualification Proven and recent experience as a Site Manager within a retail construction environment Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) First Aid at Work Qualification CSCS Card - Black or Gold Asbestos Awareness Qualification IPAF MEWP 3a & 3b SPA Willingness to work in varied locations with flexibility as we often work difficult hours and have a lot of travelling Preparedness to undertake training programmes as deemed necessary by the Company Competent in the use of a range of IT packages Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines A full current UK driving licence and have had at least 6 months driving experience since passing your test Successful applicants are required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check, MOJ CTC clearance, MOD vetting clearance and enhanced police clearance Hours of Work, Pay, and Benefits Up to £55,000 This is a full-time position, and hours of work will be 42 hours per week (flexibility will be required) : Monday to Thursday - 07:45 to 17:15 Friday - 07:45 to 16:45 C orporate clothing G enerous long service award scheme E mployee profit share scheme 21 days holiday plus bank holidays, additional holiday awarded after 2 years' of continuous service D epartmental perks and bonus H ealth and wellbeing support from our qualified Mental Health First Aiders C ontinuous training and development I nvestment in community projects through Princebuild Foundation Fantastic variety of social events and charity work organised by the Company throughout the year
