Simply Social Work is a team of experienced Independent Social Workers who provide robust Social Work reports to individuals, Local Authorities and lawyers. Our team of trained Social Workers specialise in matters relating to mental capacity for young people and adults, care reviews for adults, Court of Protection matters, and social care reports for children and young people aged 0-25 years old, for Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) appeals.
Role Description
This is a full-time work from home role (based in London, UK) for a Senior Social Worker at Simply Social Work. The Senior Social Worker will be responsible for conducting mental capacity assessments, writing care assessments, and care needs reports for EHCP appeals in London and surrounding areas. They will, where required, be expected to attend court and Tribunal (SEND) hearings either in person or remotely.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
We are seeking applications from experienced Social Workers (as this is a Senior Social Worker role we are seeking applications from candidates with at least 5 years' post-qualifying experience) who have:
* experience completing mental capacity assessments
* excellent report writing skills
* knowledge of the EHC Plan process and appeals process
* strong communication and interpersonal skills
* the ability to work independently and remotely
* experience in working with children and young people
The successful candidate will also be required to have a full driving license and travel to undertake assessments.

Salary and Benefits
* The starting salary for this role is £47008. As well as career progress increments at 2,5,7 and 10 years, our salaries are linked to the Real Living Wage and will increase each year in line with RLW increases.
