Empowering Learning are supporting a Secondary School in Sheffield S21 who are recruiting an RE Teacher to join them from January 2025.
The job
The school is looking for someone who is passionate and able to provide the very best opportunity for students across the school. In this exciting role, you will contribute to the strategic direction of your subject development, lead training programmes, and enhance RE practice across the school.
Responsibilities include:
1. Providing outstanding teaching for learning which meets the needs of all students.
2. Supporting the school in raising standards of teaching and learning across the department and monitoring progress towards agreed aims.
3. Providing specialist subject expertise to assist departmental staff, as appropriate.
4. Supporting and holding to account other staff in the school through teaching and learning programmes.
5. Implementing agreed whole school policies and initiatives.
6. Planning and facilitating professional learning workshops as requested.
The successful candidate will
1. Hold a teaching qualification.
2. Hold a degree or equivalent.
3. Have outstanding teaching practice.
4. Have excellent behaviour management.
5. Have experience of lesson observations and giving robust feedback.
6. Have experience of improvement planning.
7. Have experience of implementing a range of strategies to raise student achievement, with evidence of success.
8. Have a proven track record of excellent results at KS3/4.
9. Have experience of high-quality pupil tracking and feedback practices.
