Actual Salary £19,629 - £21,611 per annum
This job is Part Time - Term Time Only working for 32.50 hours per week and 39 weeks per year.
It is offered on a Permanent basis

The Job Role
The Arts Faculty is recruiting for a technician to join our thriving Art & Design and Photography department contributing specialist technical support to teaching staff and students during lessons. The specialist technical knowledge and skills will support a variety of teaching activities, including more advanced work with post-16 examination courses.
Duties will include:
* Setting up equipment and resources ready for practical lessons
* Providing technical assistance during lessons to support teaching
* Providing support in photography lessons including the management of chemicals and equipment for the dark room.
* Maintaining display boards within the Arts Faculty and throughout the school.
In addition, the role includes working to support marketing as well as contributing to the school’s online creative presence by taking photographs and videos of students/events .
Ideally, we would like to appoint someone who has:
* Previous experience working as an Art Technician
* Experience of specific photographic equipment such as the range of digital and traditional film as well as lighting and flash equipment.
* Experience & knowledge of darkroom photography and digital imaging
* Excellent organisational skills
* An understanding in the use of Photoshop in order to edit photographs as well as create documents / posters etc.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 3.30 pm during term time.
Flexibility is required to support some school events.
