36 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year - Fixed term until 10th August 2025
The nursery at St Pauls PS currently offers placements to pupils from Monday - Thursday (7:45am - 6:15pm) and Friday (8.00 - 11:50pm) over 50 weeks of the year. Staff work flexibly across the opening hours on a rota.

The post holders will be members of the nursery team, supporting early learning and the Early Years Officer. The post holder will develop and promote high-quality learning experiences for all children within the establishment and ensure the effective use of positive behaviour strategies for all children in partnership with staff, parents, and other appropriate professionals. We are looking to appoint highly motivated ELC Practitioners who are keen to develop outdoor play experiences.
The post-holder must be educated to HNC/SVQ3 level in Early Education and Childcare or provide equivalent qualifications and demonstrate breadth and depth of experience in an early years educational establishment.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will be required to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment, and the cost will be met by the candidate.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. The SSSC stipulates that you must submit your application within three months of your start date. If you are already registered with SSSC, you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account.
