Mon – Fri – 37 hours per week
We are seeking to fill 1 full-time position for the role of Maintenance Handyperson to join our team based at Worth School. The role involves operating across a diverse portfolio of buildings and assets. During term time, the role is predominantly reactive maintenance allocated via the helpdesk, with small works projects taking place during the holiday periods. You will also be required to be involved in certain compliance activities; however, full training will be provided.
As the Maintenance Handyperson, your responsibilities would include:
* Carry out reactive repairs and scheduled maintenance to the building fabric and fittings.
* Provide progress updates and feedback in a timely manner via the helpdesk.
* Carry out compliance activities, including fire alarm testing, fire drills, water systems management, ladder checks, etc. (full training will be provided).
* Escalate areas of concern to the maintenance team leader.
* Attend all relevant training.
* Coordinate with contractors as required to deliver works around the estate.
* Use appropriate PPE for the work being undertaken and work within H&S guidance.

* Previous experience in a school (desirable)
