Our client, a leading Logistics company based in Chelmsford, are looking to recruit an experienced Export Clerk to join their thriving team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with Exports experience who is looking to further their experience in the industry. Key Duties: Liaison with customers/ overseas agents/partners, inter-company offices & related parties. Responsible for collection of all monies due in liaison with the Accounts department. Quality Management - Strive to maintain quality within the organisation and alert the Operations Supervisor or Managing Director of any issues or risks Develop a professional working relationship with other offices, customers and suppliers. Preparation/Presentation of Import Customs Entries Bills of Lading/Emanifest/ISF, AMS, CDS entries and any other related documentation. Prepare spreadsheets and Invoices. Skills & Experience Required: Conversant with all aspects of Ocean/Sea Export (Import sea would be advantageous). Strong technical and operational background. Freight Forwarding or shipping related qualifications desirable. Minimum 2 years’ experience in the shipping/logistics sector is essential. Computer literate. Good Geographical knowledge. Knowledge of handling Letters of Credit/ IPR and other Freight related documents in relation to exporting cargo. Experience in Project forwarding is desirable. Excellent verbal and written communication skills - essential.
