As an Accountant at HC-One, you will be responsible for monitoring and analysing daily cash flow movements, ensuring accurate reporting of capex expenditure, and supporting financial reporting to key stakeholders.
This role is for a potential 4-6months.
You will work closely with the Senior Accountant, as well as teams across management accounts, asset management, and accounts payable. Additionally, you will provide account analysis for tax advisors, review capital allowance claims, and contribute to ad-hoc projects as needed. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting strategic decision-making.
About You
The ideal candidate will be part-qualified in accounting or have relevant experience in finance. They should possess strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex issues and manage new challenges with confidence. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, as is the ability to present complicated information in a clear and concise manner. The right person will be able to handle large quantities of data, synthesizing it into clear summaries while working under pressure to meet strict deadlines. Experience with finance systems, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint is a must. Ideally, the candidate will have previous experience in accounting or treasury, either in industry or practice, and a solid background in managing finance systems and large data sets.
Role & Responsibilities
Cash Flow Management & Reporting
* Prepare, monitor, and analyse daily cash flow movements against forecasts to ensure financial stability and accuracy.
* Review weekly payments for capex expenditure, ensuring they are correctly recorded in cash flow and capex reporting.
* Support monthly financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submission of key financial data to various stakeholders.
Capex & Tax Compliance
* Review capex expenditure for capital allowance claims to support tax efficiencies.
* Provide account analysis for certain accounts to assist tax advisors in accurate reporting and compliance.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
* Work closely with the Head of Treasury and Tax, Management Accounts team, Asset Manager, and Accounts Payable to maintain financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
Ad-Hoc & Strategic Projects
* Contribute to various ad-hoc projects, providing financial insight and support to drive efficiency and improve business decision-making.
