Job Description
Purpose
To ensure the smooth-running of the plant and transport department, ensuring that health & safety and environmental concerns are prioritised in accordance with company policy.
Specific Responsibilities
* Monitoring and scheduling MOT, 6-weekly inspections and servicing for all vehicles.
* Maintaining and updating the internal database, MID database and the insurance broker.
* Updating and maintaining the vehicle allocation sheet, mileage, files for driver hours log books and driver defect books.
* Coordinating and prioritising repairs with fitters.
* Ensuring all certifications are in date, and that all plant is issued to site with relevant paperwork / certificates.
* Liaising with external suppliers.
* Ad hoc duties as and when required
Qualifications
Key Skills (Essential)
* Previous Transport Manager experience
* CPC
