Position Overview: They are seeking a motivated and ambitious Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join the team. As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with experienced professionals to assist in the financial management of projects from inception through to completion. Responsibilities: Supporting senior surveyors in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and reports. Preparing tenders and reviewing contracts, ensuring compliance with client requirements and regulations. Assist in monitoring and controlling project costs, ensuring projects remain within budget. Conduct site visits to assess work progress and take measurements to inform accurate costing and valuation. Prepare progress reports, valuations, and cost reports for clients and internal stakeholders. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other surveyors to ensure smooth project delivery and resolve any issues that arise. Assist in identifying and mitigating project risks, ensuring all work complies with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Skills and Qualifications: A degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word etc.) Communication ; Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and project teams. Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and focus on detail. Strong analytical and numerical skills. Ambitious and eager to learn and progress within the industry. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks. A keen interest in civil engineering and groundworks.
