Job summary We required MSW's for the Diabetes's Team and Antenatal Clinic based in Crawley hospital The maternity support worker role has four key domains: supporting women and families; public healthpromotion and prevention; creating safe environments and personal and clinical skills. It is expected that atband 3 level the post holder will have knowledge of the main principles and processes in these areas, be ableto carry out a wide range of duties with supervision as required and contribute to service development.The purpose of the maternity support worker role is to work as part of the midwifery team providing care ofthe mother and baby throughout the maternity pathway, under supervision and within agreed guidelines andprotocols. To actively partake in meeting the needs of parents, thus enhancing the delivery of care inaccordance with the ambition set out in Better Births for safer, more personalised care.
