Looking for a role where your expertise can truly make an impact? We’re on the hunt for 3 passionate Connections Engineer to join our Connections Business Development Team at Northern Powergrid.
If you have experience in establishing exceptional relationships with customers at a senior level, helping them connect large factories and power stations to our extra high voltage networks this role is for you.

As a Connections Business Development Engineer, you will be a key enabler in helping our customers transition to a low carbon economy through the deployment of flexible connection solutions that utilise new and emerging technologies and commercial arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:
* Your design duties will include production of specifications for either EHV substation plant, EHV cable or overhead line systems. Also, including tendering and evaluation to support project delivery
* Applying the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 to major construction projects
* In this role you will liaise with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure that necessary project construction can be carried out robustly, cost effectively and be technically compliant
* Proficiency with using Microsoft Office applications
* Ability to build lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, requiring first class communication and organisational skills

* Establish, build and maintain exceptional customer relationships.
* Provide oversight and ensure timely resolution of issues and escalated complaints

Qualifications and Attributes
Essential Qualifications and Experience
* HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
* Project Management Qualifications
* Experience of the Electricity Industry (connections) regulated environment
* Legal and contract law experience
* Project/Programme management experience
