Education/Qualification
Essential criteria
* BSc degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
* Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council
* Evidence of continuous professional and personal development relevant to rotations
* Wide ranging experience including musculoskeletal outpatients, adult/older people's rehabilitation, community rehabilitation and neurology placements.
* Registration with the Royal College of Occupational Therapy
* Evidence of leadership courses/training
* Training on effective appraisal
Desirable criteria
* Registration with a special interest group relevant to the rotations
Experience
Essential criteria
* Effective occupational therapy skills to assess, goal set, treat and manage rehabilitation patients particularly within a multi-disciplinary team
* Problem solving approach to clinical interventions
* Community experience
* Relevant post-qualification experience in acute clinical area(s)
* Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team
* Experience of managing staff
* Experience in teaching and supporting staff
* Working knowledge of National policies and procedures across health and social care and its implementation or application
Desirable criteria
* Knowledge of NHS structure
* Quality and performance management experience
* Mentorship, student supervisor qualification
Skills & Knowledge
Essential criteria
* Excellent interpersonal skills and flexible working practice
* Ability to work autonomously, set priorities and be confident in decision making
* Ability to interpret National regulations for data protection and record keeping and to develop local systems to ensure these are maintained
Desirable criteria
* Awareness of the legal responsibilities of the profession.
* Knowledge of NICE guidelines and the NSF's relevant to area of practice
Key Attributes
Essential criteria
* Interest in working in outpatients, wards, and community settings
* Hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010)
