Job Description
As HR Operations Manager within Arrow Global’ s Group People Services team, you’ll coach and lead a team to deliver essential core HR services, including onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and offboarding, for Arrow UK & Centre, within a shared services model. This hands-on role which includes overseeing payroll & processes for multiple platforms and countries supported by the Group People Services team, and requires practical, direct experience of managing manual and automated payroll management.
With a focus on accuracy, consistency, and high-quality service, you’ll bring a pragmatic yet thoughtful approach to aligning Arrow Global HR BAU processes to support the business as we continue to scale at pace. You will spot opportunities to align standard HR processes and practices, and where you may need to adapt or create bespoke processes to suit specific regulatory, country, and business requirements. Through close collaboration with stakeholders and HR teams, you’ll drive industry-aligned, efficient, compliant, and cohesive HR operational support across the Arrow Group.
Responsibilities
* Deliver HR operational support processes across functions, regions and platforms where possible to meet specific employee, regulatory, company, and country requirements.
* Support the integration of HR processes for employee and platform integrations HR transitions to ensure smooth employee integration into the shared services structure/systems.
* Ensure compliance with diverse regulatory requirements in collaboration with legal and compliance teams, overseeing secure and accurate employee data management to adhere to data protection standards.
* Work cross functionally within HR (HRBPs, Reward, Talent, Recruiting) to contribute to delivering tailored HR metrics, data and reports for leadership teams, providing insights into operations, compliance, and service quality.
* Drive change management for new HR processes, systems, and policies, ensuring clear communication and alignment with company-specific leaders on impacts to their operations.
* Collaborate with IT and external vendors to implement or customise HR technology solutions that meet the diverse requirements of the businesses.
* Lead digital transformation initiatives to improve employee experiences, enhancing service delivery through automation and technology.
Required skills and Experience
* Proven experience in HR operations management, preferably within a complex shared services model servicing multiple companies and entities.
* Payroll Processing Expertise, an In-depth understanding of payroll systems and processes, including calculation of wages, taxes, benefits, and deductions.
* Knowledge of Payroll Laws and Regulations, Strong knowledge of relevant payroll regulations, tax laws, labor laws, and compliance requirements specific to regions or countries in which the company operates.
* Experience in working with and managing third-party payroll vendors, ensuring service levels are met and issues are resolved.
* Significant HR systems, employee data management, and international payroll administration experience.
* Experience leading teams in a multi-company environment, with a focus on operational efficiency.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of handling the needs of diverse entities.
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage complex cross-company initiatives.
* Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., Cascade, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) and other platforms.
