Job Description Print Preview Industrial Door Engineering are looking for a Sales Surveyor - Yorkshire Overview Industrial Door Engineering Ltd (IDE) who are part of the ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems group are one of the biggest names in the Industrial and Commercial Door Industry in Northern England and Wales. IDE's manufacturing plant is 32,000 sq ft and produces over 1,000 new Roller Shutters Doors including Insulated Roller Shutters and Fire Rated Roller Shutters every year. IDE's service engineers service and repair almost 7,000 Industrial and Commercial Doors across a wealth of small, medium and blue chip companies as well as major Councils and Public Sector organisations. IDE is now looking to employ a Sales Surveyor to join the team based out of Yorkshire. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Within this full time role, you will work within the Sales and Surveyors Department driving and developing sales within the key target areas of the region. Duties will include: - Liaise with customers on their requirements and take calls for industrial door works (predominantly roller shutters). - Undertaking site surveys for new and replacement industrial doors. - Able to translate site findings onto sketches / surveys to aid quotations and drawing production. - Demonstrate a good understanding of industrial doors in order to identify faults / propose remedial works to existing doors in order to make operational / compliant. - Identify plant / access requirements for undertaking work on site and communicate this in surveys. - Outline anticipated time on site for undertaking new installations / repair or replacement work. - Work from price / parts list to price for service & repair work. - Work closely with the Sales Estimator on pricing. - Securing orders for new business with end users and builders. - Undertaking pre-site inspections for new installations. - Liaise with suppliers on externally sourced products. - Work within designated geographical territory and form working relationships with key customers. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: The ideal candidate will have the relevant knowledge and experience of working in a similar field based customer-focused role ideally in the industrial door market. Ideally technically minded and able to interpret architectural drawings, you should also have excellent communication skills and be able to take ownership of your area.
