This is a unique opportunity for an In House Housing Lawyer to join a market leader in the Social Housing sector. The role offers a chance to be part of a small yet busy legal team, managing your own caseload and providing advice on a range of housing issues. What you'll do:
* Manage your own caseload of possession proceedings largely relying upon the Grounds in Schedule 2 of the Housing Act 1988
* Handle injunction applications and defend claims issued against it particularly under Section 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985
* Provide advice to key stakeholders in the business on a range of Housing issues
* Deliver cost-effective legal advice and manage relationships with external law firms
* Supervise a paralegal
* Develop and maintain internal stakeholder relationships
What you bring:
* UK qualified lawyer with 8 years’ experience in Real Estate
* Knowledge of the Housing Act 1988, Landlord & Tenant Act 1985 and Equality Act 2010
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* High degree of initiative
* Ability to provide first-rate client service both internally and externally
