Key Responsibilities Your core duties as a Finance Assistant will include, but are not limited to: Invoice & Payment Processing: Accurately and efficiently process supplier invoices and payments to maintain a steady flow of financial transactions. Communication Management: Handle incoming emails and phone inquiries, resolving issues collaboratively with internal teams and departments. Credit Control: Conduct thorough credit control activities to ensure all debts are collected in a timely manner. Customer Data Management: Update and maintain customer records within databases, ensuring data accuracy and completeness. Account Reconciliations: Perform regular account and system reconciliations to identify and address discrepancies effectively. Compliance Adherence: Process payments in strict alignment with client-specific and organizational protocols. Escalation of Issues: Proactively escalate cases of non-payment or other financial concerns to the Finance Manager. Query Resolution: Respond promptly to inquiries, providing excellent service and maintaining stakeholder confidence. General Finance Support: Provide ad-hoc administrative and financial assistance as needed to support departmental goals. Minimum Qualifications Education: Level 2 AAT qualification or equivalent (preferred, but not mandatory). Experience: Proven experience in finance or administration, with practical exposure to financial processes. Personal Development: A strong desire to grow both personally and professionally within the role. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Technical Skills: Basic to intermediate proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets). Soft Skills: Self-motivated, confident, and capable of working independently. Strong team player who actively supports collaborative problem-solving. Highly effective communicator, both in writing and over the phone. Exceptional attention to detail for accurate financial data and transaction oversight.
