Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to join our conveyancing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of property law and the conveyancing process, along with excellent organizational and communication skills. As a Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our conveyancers and ensuring the seamless progression of property transactions from initiation to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist conveyancers with the preparation and management of legal documents related to property transactions.
Conduct thorough title searches and property investigations.
Communicate with clients, real estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other parties involved in the conveyancing process.
Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
Coordinate and schedule property settlements and completions.
Maintain accurate and organised case files and records.
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and managing correspondence.
Respond to client enquiries and provide updates on the progress of their transactions.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Qualities:
Experience in a legal assistant or conveyancing role.
Strong knowledge of property law and the conveyancing process.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
Proficiency in legal research and document preparation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
