You will be working with an ambitious award-winning team providing an important service to the residents of Stockport. This is a permanent, full time role. The Council is committed to staff development, providing a number of training opportunities as well as career progression. About You The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of Council Tax, business rates and advanced recovery legislation. They will be expected to represent the Authority in person at the Magistrates Court for the application of bulk Liability Order Hearings. They will also be required to work both independently and as part of a team, whilst responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day targets of the team are met and ensuring that service delivery is of the highest level. We are looking for the following skills and attributes: Experience of working as part of a performance driven team Excellent communication skills Experience of means tested assessment or revenues collection The confidence to deal with and resolve complex matters Experience of making decisions in the workplace The ability and confidence to change the procedures we currently use for the better Superb Organisational skills A dedication to hard work and flexibility A positive attitude to change This is a busy role and due to the operational needs of the service, the role may involve crossover with other aspects of Revenues & Benefits related work within the wider team and service area.
