About the role
Working Mon - Fri, 08:00 - 17:00, you will handle customer enquiries along with the planning of loads and routing of delivery vehicles. Problem solving, combined with a keen eye for detail, are essential parts of this role. You will be tasked with maintaining strong relationships with our customers, ensuring their queries are answered and resolved appropriately. With deadlines to meet, it is key that you can prioritise the workload, ensuring the correct information and data is entered into our internal systems.
You will be responsible for:
* Tracking vehicles
* Dealing with loading and unloading issues at collection and delivery points as well as in depot
* Ensuring timely and accurate completion of all paperwork relevant to the department
* Developing and maintaining excellent customer relationships
About you
We are looking for a good team player with excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer orientation and commercial awareness, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of transport operations is essential. The ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment is crucial. Due to the nature of the industry and departmental requirements, the individual must be willing and able to work shifts if required.
