You will work with professionals who'll provide dedicated mentorship and support your academic knowledge.\n\nWe have established relationships with professional institutions including ICE, CIOB, RICS. Upon your graduation weâll provide a technical mentor to help you on your journey to gain the qualification with all professional fees covered by us. During your 4 years apprenticeship, you will be gaining skills and experience in the civil engineering disciplines of structures, construction materials, geotechnics and water resource management. Our apprentices are project based with one day a week release to the University.\nFollowing completion of your apprenticeship, you'll gain BSc (Hons) Civil Engineering (Environmental Civil Engineering).\n\nYour responsibilities may include:\n\nâ¢Assisting senior engineers to set out the site according to the specifications set out by the design team.\n\nâ¢You'll use survey equipment, such as laser levels and total stations as well as using tapes, stringlines and spirit levels.\n\n⢠Plan the work and efficiently organise site operations to meet an agreed programme of deadlines.\n\nâ¢Monitor and supervise the works are done clearly and accurately by sub-contractors.\n\nâ¢Follow company policies and high standards in health and safety and develop practical understanding of importance of health and safety and the environmental requirements.\n\nâ¢Communicate programme risks to the management team and maintain records for contractual correspondence.\n\nâ¢Ensure accurate daily records including site diary, material and plant are maintained.\n\n⢠Arrange testing of materials.\n\nâ¢Site coordination and logistical planning to enable works to be carried out safely.\n\nâ¢Communicating and liaising effectively with colleagues and architects, subcontractors, consultants, co-workers and clients.\n The course entry requirements are: Minimum of 4 SQA Highers (ABBB) including Maths, Physics, Technological Studies or Engineering Science at B.\n\nYou must be eligible to work and live in the UK. Preferably, have a full UK Driving License and access to car. You should have a strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for your academic and vocational development\n\nDesirable\n⢠Experience within the Construction Industry.\n⢠CSCS card.\n
