SEN Teaching Assistant – Basingstoke, Hampshire Are you passionate about supporting students with learning difficulties and making a real impact in their education? GSL Education are looking for a proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Basingstoke, Hampshire. This full-time role offers a salary between £17,500 to £19,500 per year (depending on experience), with a start date available ASAP or from Easter 2025. A permanent contract is available following a successful probation period. In this role, you'll support students with special educational needs, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment where they can excel. Responsibilities as a SEN TA: Support a small group of students with learning difficulties, including Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, and Autism (ASD). Assist in delivering tailored learning interventions to help students achieve their full potential. Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to implement individual learning plans (EHCPs). Provide emotional and academic support, helping to develop students’ confidence and independence. Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment. Requirements for the SEN TA: Previous experience working with students with learning difficulties is desirable. Candidates with transferable skills from care, youth work, or support roles are encouraged to apply. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
