We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Cleaner to join our team.
This is a permanent position working Monday - Friday for 20 hours per week from 09:00 AM to 01:00 PM. The salary is £12,522.42 per annum.
This role will be responsible for cleaning the designated areas of our student accommodation including bedrooms, bathrooms, shower rooms, kitchens, and all white goods contained in the kitchens.
This will include:
* Vacuuming, spot cleaning, and shampooing carpets; sweeping and polishing floors; cleaning stairs.
* Washing walls, doors, furniture, radiators, and lampshades as appropriate.
* Emptying waste bins and removing rubbish from flats to bin store areas.
* During the summer season only: Making beds, including stripping and changing sheeting; collecting laundered linen from store; bagging and packing laundry for collection.
* Cleaning internal and external windows, where applicable.
* Cleaning and washing glasses, cutlery, and cooking utensils, as appropriate.
* Daily liaison with residents, Residence Managers, and associated UPP staff.
* Acting in accordance with all Health & Safety policies and practices at all times.

We are looking for: Experience in cleaning in a similar environment, great communication and organization skills, attention to detail, and a passion for doing an excellent job.
You will need to have a good conversational standard of the English language and the ability to read and interpret our Health & Safety guidance. You should also be prepared to work (with notice) at other sites if required and to take on additional hours when necessary, especially during the main student arrival and departure weekends.
Offers of employment are subject to satisfactory vetting, including employment referencing covering the past three years. You may also be subject to additional vetting and barring checks to ensure your suitability for the role, which could include completing a basic DBS check.
