Global School Exchanges’ mission is to enable meaningful cultural exchange and learning between young people, helping develop the Global Citizens of the future. An important area of our work is our School Exchange Programme between Chinese and British schools.
During these programmes, Chinese students are immersed in a UK school for 1-3 weeks, live with local families, and undertake activities, tours and visits. Our Education Programme Coordinators are natural leaders and teachers, with excellent communication skills, and vital to the success of our programmes!
Your Role
The role of the Programme Coordinator is to coordinate the day-to-day activities of your allocated group, and be a key point of contact through the day. You will be naturally friendly, confident, outgoing, well-organised and a problem-solver.
A typical in-school day might involve greeting students on their morning arrival at school, ensuring they meet with their allocated buddy, attend lessons and know where they should be throughout the day. You may liaise with teachers within the school if they have questions, teach a lesson after school, and will ensure students are collected by their host family at the end of the day.
Your role is to be a great ambassador for the company.
A typical day trip could be to a destination such as London or Winchester, and you’ll ensure all planned activities for the day go smoothly, coordinate with the coach driver, lead the group to lunch and keep students and their teachers safe and supervised.
