Job Introduction
Operose Health have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Development Manager.
The successful candidate will ideally be based within the South of England and able to travel Nationally.
The Operations Development Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence and organisational improvement through the implementation of change management initiatives, training programmes, process optimisation, and strategic projects, including the support and integration of new services to the group.
This role supports healthcare operations by enhancing efficiency, ensuring the adoption of new procedures, and resolving critical operational challenges across various teams and departments.
This role requires a proactive and strategic approach to drive organisational improvements.
The role demands flexibility to adapt to a dynamic healthcare environment and the ability to work across multiple departments and teams.
Main Responsibilities
Transformation
1. Work with the Project Management team to develop and execute change management plans to support the implementation of new processes, systems, and initiatives to become business as usual.
2. Collaborate with the leadership team and colleagues to ensure a smooth transition during operational changes.
3. Identify barriers to change and develop strategies to overcome resistance.
Training and Development
1. Design and deliver training programmes to ensure staff competence in new processes and systems.
2. Provide ongoing coaching and support to operational teams to sustain improvements.
3. Evaluate the effectiveness of training and adapt content to meet organisational needs.
Process Improvement
1. Analyse current operational processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
2. Develop and implement optimised workflows and best practices to enhance service delivery.
3. Monitor performance metrics to ensure goals are met and sustained.
Operational Support
1. Act as a resource for resolving operational challenges in specific areas as needed.
2. Partner with department leaders to address issues and implement solutions aligned with organisational objectives.
3. Support the rollout of new policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Project Management
1. Lead or support special projects aimed at improving healthcare operations, patient outcomes, or staff productivity.
2. Develop project timelines, allocate resources, and manage stakeholder communication.
3. Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
Collaboration and Communication
1. Serve as a liaison between senior leadership, teams, and frontline staff to ensure alignment on goals and initiatives.
2. Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather input, share progress, and drive consensus.
3. Communicate updates on operational developments and project outcomes to stakeholders.
Operational Integration of new services and innovations
1. Support colleagues to understand and implement the Operose Health model of care and tools.
2. Work with Regional Leaders and practice teams to provide intensive 60 Day support for new services.
3. Ensure effective implementation of the transformation plan.
Personnel Management
1. Lead and inspire cross-functional teams to implement change and improve operations.
2. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the organisation.
The Ideal Candidate
1. 3-5 years of experience in healthcare operations, process improvement, or a similar role.
2. Strong knowledge of healthcare systems, workflows, and regulations.
3. Proven expertise in change management, training, and operational process optimisation.
4. Exceptional project leadership skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
