We are seeking an enthusiastic Activities Coordinator who thrives on making a positive difference in the lives of older people.
In collaboration with the Home Manager and the wider community teams, you will be responsible for engaging residents in social activities. This includes providing diverse activities catering to all tastes, abilities, and cultures, while promoting diversity and inclusion. You will plan and initiate both ongoing and individual programs, encouraging residents to maintain existing hobbies and explore new ones. Supporting colleagues, relatives, and friends to participate in activities will help foster socialization and enrich residents' lives. You will also accompany residents to offsite activities when possible, going above and beyond to serve their needs.
You will assist with innovative fundraising initiatives and manage budgets for entertainment, materials, and outings. Creativity in generating additional funds will be valued. Creating a supportive, caring, and safe environment where residents' dignity and individuality are upheld is essential.
