We are currently recruiting for a skilled Teaching Assistant to join the team .The role involves providing valuable support to students in Key Stage 2, contributing to their educational growth and overall development.
Our client is a one and a half form entry primary school in the heart of Fleetwood Town, FY7. They pride themselves on being a community school and their pupils reflect the diverse community they serve. Within their beautiful listed building you will find a welcoming, bright and focused learning environment with additional learning spaces such as an ICT suite, Nurture spaces and a well equipped Technology room. Currently this school requires a qualified TA to support a EYFS class, providing general whole class support and small group assistance.
The ideal candidate would be someone who is driven, engaging and also able to gel with students emotionally and intellectually. Ideally you will have EYFS experience and an understanding of the EYFS framework. Due to the diverse populace of pupils that attend, some students may require SEN support so although it is not essential to have this experience you may be required to help on a 1:1 capacity and also work with small groups of children, if lesson plans require it. A committed, and professional individual is a must have as there will be times you may have to help plan activities and work with the teachers and staff in order to help with certain individual's learning needs and plans. The hours are Monday - Friday 8:30-3:30 with £13-£13.50 per hour. You will be required to support for one term.

Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant involve:
12. Reading, writing and SPAG support.
13. Adjusting or breaking down activities to support participation and understanding. Develop a supportive relationship with the child that promotes self esteem and confidence.
14. To develop knowledge and understanding of the specific academic, physical, emotional and behavioural needs of the child and respond to them effectively.
15. To liaise with the Teacher and SENCO about the development and support needed at home and in school for the child.
16. To provide the whole class, small groups and 1:1 support.
17. Monitor and maintain records of the pupils progress.
18. To assist with general school duties which may include setting up classrooms, preparing resources and displays and tidying and clearing away
19. Supervision of children during lunch times and Supervision of children entering and leaving school premises.
Requirements:
20. Possession of an Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to acquire a new one.
21. Eligibility to work in the UK (please note that sponsorship is unavailable for this role).
22. Preferred previous experience in educational settings, particularly schools.
23. Provision of two recent professional references, a vital requirement for consideration.
24. Experience working with young people
25. Class management skills
26. Comfortable managing challenging behaviour
27. Able to engage with and motivate children
