Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Joining Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with SCA adhesive equipment and Tucker Self-Pierce Riveting (SPR) systems. You will be responsible for joining activities onsite, implementing, and optimizing joining processes in manufacturing operations, ensuring the quality and efficiency of assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Development & Optimization: Develop, implement, and optimize adhesive joining processes using SCA adhesive dispensing equipment .Set up, maintain, and improve Tucker SPR systems for high-volume production all joining processes meet safety, quality, and efficiency standards.Conduct tests, troubleshoot issues, and optimize joining parameters to improve product integrity and process cycle times.
2. Equipment Management: Installation, configuration, and maintenance of SCA adhesive equipment and Tucker SPR systems.Coordinate with equipment suppliers and vendors for updates, service, and technical support.
3. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality engineering team to ensure the structural integrity of the joins and maintain quality data analysis tools to monitor performance metrics of adhesive and SPR corrective actions in case of process deviations or quality concerns.
4. Collaboration & Support: Work closely with design, production, and R&D teams to ensure seamless integration of joining technologies into product designs.Provide technical support to production teams for troubleshooting and resolving joining-related in training production and maintenance staff on the correct operation and maintenance of joining equipment.
5. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of process parameters, equipment maintenance, and performance and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for adhesive and SPR joining processes.Generate reports on process efficiency, quality, and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
6. Proven experience working with SCA adhesive equipment in a manufacturing knowledge of Tucker SPR systems and self-piercing riveting processes.
Additional Information
3 month initial term with extensions. 50 hour week over 5 days with possible overtime on weekends.
