Are you a Security Engineer looking for a new role? Our client is looking for an experienced Security Engineer to join their team in Dundee. They are offering hybrid working with a salary range of £40,000 - £55,000 depending on experience. Key Duties: Design, implement, manage and update cutting-edge security solutions across our estate, including SOC, Azure, M365, Conditional Access, Information Security, and more. Develop a clear security roadmap to ensure scalability, reliability, and high security for our cloud environment (Azure). Stay ahead of the curve by identifying and evaluating emerging cloud technologies. Lead efforts to protect our network infrastructure and computer systems by developing, executing, and tracking performance of security measures. Work with our SOC service to investigate and resolve incidents, while managing our Sentinel deployment. Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and implement new security features to enhance our infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve complex security and infrastructure issues swiftly and effectively. Assist in developing and maintaining up-to-date security policies in collaboration with the Information Security Manager. Keep comprehensive documentation on security configurations and changes to ensure clarity and continuity. Work with the Information Security Manager and Risk & Compliance team to develop training programs for staff on information security and data protection. Educate IT colleagues on best practices in cybersecurity to ensure our team stays at the cutting edge of security knowledge. Collaborate across the IT Team to resolve issues, ensure seamless service deployment, and maintain system availability. Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and consultants to deliver effective solutions. Mentor and support team members, promoting a culture of shared knowledge and continuous learning. About you: Expertise in network, server, and storage technologies. Solid understanding of security best practices and the ability to implement advanced security tools. Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based security solutions (Azure and M365). Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Proficiency in managing vulnerabilities and applying controls. A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
