Description Permanent contract | full-time 37 hours per week | £33,366 to £35,235 per annum (Grade H) | Countywide Personal Adviser Hi, I’m Lisa Hilson, Service Manager for the Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) Service. I have worked with Norfolk County Council for several years, as well as having worked in other counties in the East of England, and across Children’s Services. As part of the UASC service development plan we are looking to expand our social care teams. We therefore have several opportunities within the service. We have increased our service to four social care teams to ensure we can continue to offer a committed and outstanding service to our children and young people. I am proud of the service and continued commitment to improving the outcomes for children. The service is very friendly and supportive, and we have built a culture which nurtures development, creativity and child centred practice. Our Team Managers really support their teams and the work they do to achieve positive outcomes for our young people. Right now, we are looking for a Personal Advisor to work in our UASC Team. We hope that you will have experience working with care leavers/adults 18 and understand the challenges they face in transitioning to independence/adulthood. This is an exciting service in Norfolk which continues to develop and grow. You will be part of developing the working practices within the teams as well as working closely with partner agencies to develop a robust, positive offer to those children and young people entering Norfolk (the UK) for the first time. We offer a friendly and supportive environment and look forward to welcoming dedicated and experienced social work professionals. Norfolk is a fantastic place to live and work.
