Your new role As Contracts Manager with this employer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of their fit-out projects across the UK and Ireland. You will be responsible for managing contracts from inception to completion, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction. Your key responsibilities will include: Overseeing the full lifecycle of fit-out projects, from initial tendering and contract negotiation to project handover and close-out. Managing and coordinating project teams, including site managers, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure efficient and timely project delivery. Developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring all projects are delivered within scope and on budget. Monitoring project progress and performance, identifying and mitigating risks, and implementing corrective actions as necessary. Ensuring compliance with all relevant Health & Safety regulations, CDM regulations, and company policies. Managing project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping. Conducting regular site visits and inspections to ensure quality control and address any issues promptly. Liaising with clients, architects, interior designers, and other stakeholders to provide project updates, resolve any concerns, and ensure client satisfaction. Overseeing the procurement of materials and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to project specifications. What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this role you will need to have experience at a similar level and a proven track record of delivering successful fit-out projects: Strong project management skills with experience in managing fit-out projects across various sectors. Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with clients, subcontractors, and the project team. A thorough understanding of Health & Safety regulations and their practical applications on site. Familiarity with Construction (Design and Management) (CDM) regulations and other relevant legal requirements. Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Excel spreadsheets and project management software. Relevant certifications and tickets associated with being on site, such as CSCS, SMSTS, SSSTS, or equivalent. A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making, ensuring that projects run smoothly and efficiently.
