About the Role:

You will need to be able to work within a fast-paced and changing environment, operating across multiple projects simultaneously to produce exceptional results.
Reporting to our Marketing Director, you’ll be responsible for creating & implementing marketing plans and activations that drive our brand purpose & positioning with all audiences; supports our trade and retail channel / shopper activations; and supports commercial delivery of growth objectives.
You’ll lead and manage a team of 4 to deliver the brand, customer/ channel marketing plans and content requirements.
You’ll be a senior manager with the wider marketing team, working together with the Digital Marketing Manager to develop the team and develop the annual plans.

The core responsibilities of the role are:
* Brand: Support the Marketing Director in building a clear ‘brand world’ – positioning, guidelines – and ensuring consistent execution across touchpoints.
* Insights: Champion ‘outside-in’ thinking across the business, using insights to challenge thinking and develop appropriate propositions or outcomes.
* Propositions: Lead the develop of propositions for our target audiences, aligning delivery across functions.
* Marketing Communications: Own the annual comms brief, working with external agencies and internal teams to develop and deliver brand and product campaigns, activations and content, across the 3 key audiences of Consumer, Installer and Specifier.
* Content: Manage the internal content team, and external requirements, to develop engaging assets to support brand and product stories, with increasing focus on digital assets and tools.
* Team: Lead and manage Triton’s marketing team, including brand/ marcomms, channel and content (currently team of 4 direct reports).
* Customer/ Shopper Marketing: Develop and implement Retail & Trade customer marketing plans, overseeing activities across key accounts to achieve topline sales to budget expectations, working cross functionally with Trade & Retailer Sales Directors and teams.
* Events: Build and deploy an events programme/ calendar to support the audience comms plans.
* Working closely with the D2C/ digital team, help to ensure online activities are fully integrated with brand and customer plans and activities.
* Agency Management: Work closely with brand agencies to manage campaigns, media plans, PR and content, working to deadlines and budgets.
* Budget Management: manage the deployment of activity aligned to the annual budget, making adjustments and recommendations to achieve annual objectives.
* Cross-functional: Demonstrate cross-functional behaviours and relationships, to ensure brand and marketing pans are aligned across the business.
Key Requirements:
* Interest in consumer behaviour and how brands can influence behaviour change.
* Outside-in mindset, championing the customer/ category/ channel in building plans based on their needs.
* Experience of developing marketing plans, campaigns, and activations in a consumer-facing and/ or B2B brand business
* Experience in developing insight-led, measurable marketing plans that impact behaviour change.
* Knowledge of the retail / shopper landscape, and how to activate brands in-store and on-line.
* Knowledge of developing trade shows/ event stands and activations.
* Understanding of traditional and digital channels, and the role they play in a multi-channel marketing plan.
* Experience in managing multiple external agencies, supplier and partners to deliver plans.
* Commercially astute, able to build marketing plans that are measurable and based on data.
* Financially astute, able to manage complex marketing budgets and monitor spend, adjusting where business requires.
* At least 8 years experience in a similar Marketing role.
* Team management experience.
* An interest in, or understanding of, the role of sustainability in a business and brand plan.
* Curious & Collaborative approach, working across functions – exemplifies cross-functional behaviours.
* Highly proactive, takes ownership and goes over-and-above. Lots of initiative.
* Solutions orientated – evaluates issues and brings solutions not problems.
* Excellent standard of written English skills.
Full training and support will be given to the successful candidate. The working week will be 35¼ hours based on 9.00 am - 5.00 pm from Monday to Thursday and 9.00 am – 4.00 pm on Fridays.
