An opportunity has become available for an experienced Fire Safety Engineer to join our growing Expert Witness and Advisory Services (EWAS) team.
Role and Responsibilities
* Initially the role will be assisting the lead expert on a broad range of UK building and construction projects. Previous dispute and expert advisory/witness experience would be ideal but is not essential.
* You will be contributing to the growth and development of the team, adding value to our growing business
Experience and skills required:
To be considered for this role you should gave gained extensive experience gained of working in a related role which you can evidence during interview and possess / be:
* Preferably a member of IFE
* Broad project experience from a consultancy, engineering, or an approval background (10 years +)
* Strong technical background with an enquiring and logical thought process.
* An objective approach to problem solving
* Sound knowledge of past/current industry standards, regulations, guidance, and good engineering practices
* Able to assimilate large amounts of technical information and get to the crux of the issue
* Able to communicate complex technical matters to the non-technical in both written and oral communication
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Flexible working attitude and have the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
* Flexible to travel regionally for site visits, etc
