Job description Important Application Requirements: Applicants must have 5 years of checkable references, a valid passport or ID card, National Insurance proof, and proof of address (e.g., bank statement or utility bill). HMRC employment history letter of the last 5 years. If successful, a valid Disclosure (CRC) will be required. As a member of the Assistance Team, you will be responsible for delivering customer service excellence to passengers requiring support, including those with hidden disabilities or mobility restrictions. You will assist passengers through the terminal building and to their onward travel, as well as between the terminal building and the aircraft. As a Customer Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the airport operation and ensuring a positive experience for all passengers. The purpose of this role is to provide the highest level of customer service at all times and ensure a smooth and pleasant journey for passengers. You will utilise company equipment, as supplied and trained, to fulfil this role. Main Duties: Assist passengers through the terminal to and from the aircraft and support them using safe and professional handling techniques. Be professional, polite, and courteous at all times. Perform Customer Service Agent (CSA) duties as directed by Control, including escorting passengers through the airport as required. Provide assistance with passenger baggage. Complete the Daily Equipment Check Sheet to maintain operational reliability, reporting any defects as necessary. Ensure that equipment and facilities used in assistance duties are clean and well-maintained. Complete all necessary paperwork legibly and submit it promptly. Carry out any additional reasonable duties as assigned by operational management. Essential Criteria: Ability to assist passengers in accordance with manual handling guidelines. Capacity to provide physical support to passengers as required and to handle baggage in accordance with manual handling guidelines.
