Role purpose: To assist the Cardiology Services Manager in the running of the Cath Lab on a day to day basis To co-ordinate and ensure all departmental audits are completed To undertake evidence based projects, including recommendations for changes in practice To line manage and develop a discrete team within the department including performance matters To be involved in the recruitment of new members of staff To be able to give judgement on a variety of complex clinical, staff & operational problems To liaise with other departments and provide practical solutions to any issues which may arise (e.g. stock and equipment, etc) To undertake clinical Cath Lab and Cardiology pre-assessment duties To provide specialist education and teaching to junior Cath Lab staff and or other departments (e.g. ward staff, PACU/Recovery, Theatre/ODP, etc) To act as a Specialist Cardiology resource for the multi-disciplinary team within Spire Healthcare To assist in staff rotas maximising the use of staff, resources and activity within Cath Lab Main duties of the job Duties and responsibilities: Develop practice in the assessment of health and wellbeing needs.
