Cherry Professional are looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to set up stand-alone machines or an entire production line ready for use and deliver training to the operators at customer sites.
This is an exciting role where you will be working away and travel anywhere in the world for 3 weeks at a time. Following the installation of the machines, it will be your responsibility to set up machines after installation and work with the operators on site. You will be away for 3 weeks, then travel home and have 1 week off, before travelling back to the site, or a different site, depending on the size of the job.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensuring machines are properly connected mechanically, electrically, hydraulically, and pneumatically. After performing several test runs, locate and analyse the storage cause.
2. Commissioning the machine based on the Acceptance Protocol, including starting the machine after installation.
3. Checking the machine for correct connection of all parts (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and software).
4. Performing various test runs for production based on the Acceptance Protocol.
5. Solving technical problems.
6. Recording and transferring to the PC all machine parameters at the time of transfer to the customer.
7. Giving instruction and training to machine operators about the operation and maintenance of the machine.
8. Leading and carrying out the installation and commissioning of second-hand steel processing machines.
9. The possible addition of customer-specific customization to existing systems.
10. Ensuring a good transfer to the customer and clear training so that the customer's operators can work with our machines.
11. Drawing up a complete report, including safety, quality, and actions to be followed.
12. Thinking about work processes and making complicated proposals where necessary.
13. Process Improvement, Quality, reporting, and Safety.
Ideal Candidate:
1. Experience working with hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and electrical systems.
2. Previous experience working as a Commissioning Engineer.
3. Experienced in root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
4. Experience working on a range of electrical and mechanical breakdowns, repair of plant, machinery, and service.
5. Ability to interpret and follow electrical drawings and schedules.
6. Willing to travel and work away (with a compensation package).
7. NVQ or degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
