About the role
The Project Manager meaningfully contributes to the delivery of the overall Boots.com transformation agenda and strategy. This includes delivery of multiple projects of varying scale, tracking progress, following project frameworks, continuously assessing project risks & issues, and managing & tracking finances. The role reports to the Senior Programme Manager, Digital Transformation and works closely with partners across Boots.com and other departments.
What you’ll need to have
1. Providing regular reporting on key Boots.com transformation projects to the Digital Leadership Team, UK Executive Team and other senior partners as required.
2. Co-ordination & organisation of the weekly programme board meetings.
3. Project manage a mix of projects, ranging from managing your own through to supporting the Senior Programme Manager and Programme Manager on more complex projects.
4. Accountable for co-ordinating all aspects of the project to ensure successful delivery of customer and our goals.
5. Bringing together project team members from across the business and third-party organisations to build and deliver the projects.
6. Leading the end-to-end project lifecycle, from planning, implementation, and evaluation of the projects.
7. Adhering to project management frameworks and standards within the team.
8. Managing project administration, including project plan and all other documentation.
9. Co-ordinating regular project meetings: monitoring, recording, and tracking actions agreed - and delivering actions where required.
10. Trouble-shooting, problem solving and escalating issues as required.
11. Supporting the Head of Digital Transformation and Digital Leadership Team with other activities as required from time to time.
About you:
You will be extremely organised and experienced in project and/or programme management (ideally MSP or PRINCE2 qualified). Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities, and challenging stakeholders. Confident, flexible and unflappable, and will challenge when deadlines are not met or standards not achieved. Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and good attention to detail. Works well with others and experienced in working cross-functionally with a diverse range of people – including effectively holding others to account when needed. Able to follow guidelines & processes but know when these can/should be flexed. Experience of digital and/or agile ways of working is desirable.
