First Recruitment Services are partnered with a long-standing client in their search for a Logistics Controller. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a global company who are an expert in their field! The position is a permanent role as an on-site Representative based in Preswick, Scotland.
Logistics Controller Duties:
1. Responsible for receiving and distributing fasteners, chemicals, paints and freezer material, whilst ensuring agreed service levels are met and exceeded.
2. Managing stock levels to build line and ensure stock availability.
3. Goods receipt of all products for distribution to customer.
4. Logistic support.
5. Dealing with internal and external queries and complaints.
6. Communicate to program administrator variations in usages reviewing reasons for variances and addressing with customers accordingly.
7. Comply with the businesses mission, values, quality systems, procedures and ISO manual.
8. Communicate on a regular basis with Operations Manager and Program Administrator, informing them of the status of agreed tasks, general site information and any critical problem areas.
9. Participate in quarterly team roundtables reporting of highs and lows, warehouse issues, training requirements, new business opportunities and health and safety issues.
Logistics Controller Experience and Qualifications
1. 1-2 years of related work experience within a similar environment.
2. Ability to multi-task and work effectively.
3. Previous experience of working within a fast-paced environment.
4. Ability to work independently.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Basic Microsoft Skills (Outlook, Excel, Word).
7. Associate degree, Certification of related field of studies is advantageous.
The company is offering a salary of £24,000 – £25,000 per annum.
