Applications are invited for the post of Senior Clinical Fellow (ST6+ Level) in Advanced Endoscopy (ERCP/EUS) at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. This is an exciting opportunity to develop special expertise in Advanced Endoscopy, starting in August for a period of 1 year (fixed-term).
Aberdeen Royal Infirmary has a large and busy tertiary level Endoscopy service providing the full range of complex therapeutic procedures. Involvement in the active clinical research of the department would be encouraged.
This post would be suitable for senior trainees with JAG accreditation (or equivalent); CCST/CCT/CESR (CP) in Gastroenterology or appropriate Specialty is desirable or approval for OOPE will be required. Candidates would be expected to have at least a year of training in grade I ERCP.
This is a full-time post for a fixed term period of 1 Year. It will consist of a mix of clinical duties: 3-4 specialist training lists, 3-4 service endoscopy lists and possibly 1 out-patient clinic plus time for administration, continued professional development and research activities. There is no requirement for ward work or on call.
This post does not have educational approval from the Postgraduate Dean and will not be recognised for training.
