The Finance Administrator is responsible for assisting and supporting the Finance Manager/Head of Finance with business accounting activities to ensure effective financial control and management. The role will primarily involve Purchase Ledger and account reconciliation (GL and Supplier) duties. Entering invoices has been outsourced, so booking invoices will only be done to provide cover.

Key Responsibilities include:
* Process purchase invoices and book the associated GRN.
* Supplier statement reconciliations.
* Supplier Payment Runs.
* Stakeholder engagement as well as providing advice to non-finance staff.
* Work in association with the Finance Manager to establish best practice. Create and maintain work instructions accordingly.
* Assist with the evaluation of construction costs, data reporting/analysis for management, budgeting/forecasting.
* Support the Project Managers and Operations/commercial Team on project finance matters.
* Review financial information with the intention of proactively identifying any issues and taking corrective action.
* New supplier set up and credit applications.
* Liaise with other departments.
* Work with the wider finance team to drive continuous improvement.
* Prepare internal and external reports as required.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
* Right to work in the UK.
* A relevant accounting qualification (AAT/ CA/ ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA) or equivalent.
* 2 years experience in a similar role.
* Experience in cost control.
* Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft software suite, in particular Excel, VLOOKUP, PIVOT etc.
* Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
* Multi-task and deadline-driven person.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
* Construction industry experience.
* Experience in using SAP R3.
* Excellent organisational skills; solution-focused and proactive.
* Knowledge of the Spanish language.
