WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for a General Manager who will work closely with the Co-Founders and Management Team to ensure smooth day-to-day running of the central functions of the agency. The General Manager will oversee Office Management, Facilities, IT, HR and day-to-day support of the Co-Founders and Management Team.
You would be joining MatchFit at an incredibly exciting time of growth as we approach our 5th birthday this Spring, with several soon-to-be-announced new business wins, a new office in Shoreditch, London, a brilliant team and the chance to play a highly prominent role in our future agency journey.
We’re offering the role as part-time with a structured schedule of 10am – 3pm in our Shoreditch office, Tuesday to Thursday each week (15 hours per week).
WHO WE ARE:
We are MatchFit, the communications agency with sport in its DNA. Since our launch in 2020, we’ve worked with some of the most exciting rights holders and brands in sport, including The FA, The LTA, Manchester City, Topps, MatchWornShirt, LiveScore and LALIGA. Our core services are centred around PR and campaigns, reputation and corporate comms, influencer and content, and sponsorship activation.
Recently moving into our new head office in Shoreditch, London, 2025 has signalled the start of an exciting new era for the agency. With a permanent team headcount now at 18 after an amazing year of 75% growth, we are incredibly proud of our highly talented team and our recent “Great Place to Work certification for 2025.”
KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Office & Facilities Management
- Manage the daily running of the office, ensuring it remains organised and tidy and helping to enable a productive, enjoyable working environment.
- Main point of contact with the office management agent for maintenance, repairs and any other issues that arise.
- Manage kitchen supplies, food and drink, restocking as needed through weekly orders.
- Manage office inventory, including ordering supplies to ensure the office is well-stocked with materials and equipment.
- Main point of contact for post and couriers, ensuring items are sent and received when required.
- First point of call for inbound phone calls and email enquiries.
IT and Systems Management
- Manage the maintenance and servicing of office equipment, agency internal systems, emails and other tools, including Zoom and Slack.
- Main point of contact with service providers and IT support as and when needed.
People and Culture
- Manage the onboarding of all new staff, including setting up agency MacBooks and IT logins.
- First point of call for ad-hoc team requests or issues and communicating these to the Senior Management Team where required.
- Manage the drafting of all employee-related documents, including terms of employment, promotions and salary increases.
- Oversee our HR tools, including Charlie HR (people management) and Timetastic (staff leave).
- Scheduling agency activities, including the quarterly socials and Office Christmas Party, acting as the main point of contact for the agency’s social committee.
PA Support to the Senior Management Team
- Provide ad-hoc support to the Co-Founders, including diary management, as well as travel and accommodation arrangements.
- Management of off-site meetings, client dinners and other client entertainment logistics for the Senior Management team.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:

- Have a can-do attitude towards problem-solving and an ability to work independently.
- Have a natural love and enthusiasm for fast-paced agency life, with good time management skills, an ability to meet deadlines and handle ad-hoc requests.
- Have a keen interest in sports.
- Be able to commute to our office in Shoreditch on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

SALARY & PROCESS: From £40,000 (pro rata) DPE.
