As the Assistant Manager, you'll collaborate closely with the Restaurant Manager to guarantee the seamless operation at our Rockwater venue. Your responsibilities will include supporting the Restaurant Manager in running organised and smooth shifts, motivating large teams to deliver high standards of customer service and maintaining high health and hygiene standards. Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance and cleanliness of Rockwater through training of employees whilst maintaining a positive and productive working environment. Ensure that all staff are delivering the “Rockwater Experience” at all times to all guests by following the Waves of Service standards from the welcome to the farewell. Maintain a complete understanding of all policies, procedures and standards. Ensure that all front of house equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and reporting of any issues. Effectively manage guest complaints and solve in a way that makes the guest leave happy and not feel the need to escalate. Report any issues to Senior Management. Ensure stock control is managed by delegating appropriately and following up accordingly. Compliance with legal requirements under the Health & Safety Act 1974 and food hygiene. Maximising sales opportunities throughout Rockwater by upselling to guests where appropriate. To have an extensive understanding of Rockwater and the various experiences we offer our guests, including our Openwater subscription. Have great communication with the kitchen regarding menu availabilities and alterations. Ensure new starters are fully trained and integrated into the Rockwater team. To lead by example and to motivate your team to deliver the best service through feedback and incentives. To take ownership of the relevant location when the Restaurant Manager is not at work. Be aware of who are members / regulars / VIPs are and build a rapport with them. The Ideal Candidate At least 1 years experience as an assistant manager or supervisor in a high volume venue. Experienced in managing large teams.
