The role – what’s involved?
You will be working in a close-knit HR team, to provide professional support and advice to line managers and employees for all HR related matters across all our UK and international offices. Your role is to help the business support its inclusive culture, achieve organisational objectives and develop and identify opportunities for learning and development whilst remaining compliant with employment law. This is an exciting opportunity to utilise existing HR experience and grow your depth and breadth of knowledge to enhance your skills and capability, this role may suit someone transitioning from an assistant role to one with greater accountability and responsibility.
As part of the team reporting to the HR Director, you will be responsible for managing a broad spectrum of HR operations, including Payroll, recruitment, absence and wellbeing management, and Employee Relations. The role optimises processes, enhancing employee experience, and aligning HR operations with the organisational objectives.
You will be passionate about inclusivity, wellbeing and engagement to help drive our organisational values and culture and be an advocate for positive mental health and wellbeing within the organisation.
Main responsibilities will include:
• Administer core HR departmental areas, including benefits, employee
relations, performance and development, recruitment (contracts), induction
and onboarding.
• Developing Employment policies, ensuring employment law, HR policy, best
practice and workforce development are applied.
• Provide support with the monthly payroll process
• Support and advise on recruitment processes, to provide advice on
inclusivity
and diversity.
• Collate data from HR systems to support organisational reporting at different
levels of the business.
• Recording and processing confidential information
Skills, Experience & Attributes
• CIPD membership
• CIPD Qualified to at least Level 3 or above or equivalent previous
experience
in role
• Solid HR Generalist experience
• Working knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws and
regulations.
• People oriented, with excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation
skills, along with the ability to tactfully and thoughtfully manage complex and
difficult situations.
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships quickly.
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication skills, written and report writing
