The Ministry of Justice has developed a ground-breaking service to enable prison leavers, who would otherwise be homeless, to escape the vicious cycle of crime by providing temporary accommodation upon release from prison. About the Role: Due to a contract expansion and further agreed works with our customer we are seeking an Electrician to join our team. As an Electrician within our Northwest branch your duties are to carry out a range of electrical work to our clients housing stock to ensure that electrical Installations which are worked on are safe for continued use to safeguard the service users, members of the public, clients personnel and Mears employees from any potential danger associated with electricity. The main part of the role will be working in occupied domestic social housing properties completing responsive electrical repairs and maintenance along with some servicing. Role Criteria: City and Guilds 18th Edition AM2 NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation Inspection and Testing 2391/2 or equivalent Domestic experience Social housing experience would be an advantage Ability to have your own initiative Flexible to travel across to the Northwest region Excellent communication All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
