Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday - 8.30am-5pm (office-based)
Purpose of the Finance Manager Role
The Finance Manager will ensure that the accounts team adheres to best practices and maintains a high standard of accuracy. The ideal candidate should be confident and capable of clear communication with the directors and chairman.
Key Duties
1. Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting reconciliations.
2. Review control account reconciliations regularly for year-end accounting, including profit and loss analysis.
3. Oversee and authorise bank reconciliations.
4. Monitor and authorise the completion of sales and purchase ledgers.
5. Assist with year-end accounts preparation and support the annual audit.
6. Authorise bank payments and manage overheads.
7. Handle day-to-day cash flow management.
8. Manage the annual budget process.
9. Submit monthly/quarterly returns to HMRC.
10. Provide reports and updates to the management team.
11. Conduct monthly 1-2-1s and annual performance reviews to support team development.
12. Identify and report risks to Senior Management in a timely manner.
13. Negotiate company insurances.
Requirements
1. Have an AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
2. Familiarity with Access Dimensions would be a plus.
3. Proven experience in managing an accounting team or department.
4. Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting.
5. Knowledge and experience in payroll management.
6. Expertise in daily, weekly, monthly, and annual accounting practices.
