A resilient and committed Children's Residential Support Worker (RSW) is needed to join the team at Oakley House Children's Home (OHCH), a brand new children's home. The home will cater for three young people aged from 11-18.

Shift Pattern:
* 40 hours per week (Full-time), 20 hours per week (Part-time).
* You will be required to work weekends and holidays.
* Overtime (When needed/Short-staffed).
* The shift pattern is:
* AM - 7am to 3pm.
* PM - 2pm - 7am (the next day) (Sleep in is from 11pm - 7am).
* Shift Lead - 10am to 10:30am (next day) (Sleep in is from 11pm - 7am).

What do you need?
* A Full UK Drivers Licence.
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care Children’s, or the equivalent.
* Previous Residential Support Worker experience or experience within the care field.
* The willingness to undertake the NVQ Level 3.
Duties include:
* Support the young people in the household by encouraging education, fostering their independence, and taking care of their health and welfare.
* Uphold a secure atmosphere and environment for the young people.
* Support challenging behaviour safely and sympathetically by following OHCH policies.
* Deter difficult behaviour while maintaining safety, compassion, and adherence to OHCH principles.
* Develop and maintain good working relationships with the team, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people’s lives.
* Build and develop positive relationships with the young people.
* Encourage and involve the young people in activities and new experiences to enrich their lives.
* Follow and write care plans and risk assessments, perform essential job tasks, attend team meetings and meetings with other professionals, and adhere to the home's policies and procedures as directed by the registered manager or deputy manager.
* Undertake everyday parenting responsibilities, such as domestic chores, cooking, shopping, and taking young people to appointments/meetings, and supporting homework.
* Support the young people in their personal development, gaining vital life skills for future independent living.
